FAFSA-Financial Aid


The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is used to apply for financial aid. All information and the application can be found at or for those who are not US citizens. You can file a FAFSA between October 1st and March 2nd of the senior year.


Cal Grants: TUSD submits GPAs for all seniors each year. This means that you DO NOT have to fill out the GPA Verification Form. As long as you complete your FAFSA by March 2nd, you will be considered for Cal Grants.


In addition to the FAFSA, some colleges and universities will require the CSS Profile. That can be found here:



Local Scholarships

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP meeting will be held on November 2nd & 3rd at the beginning of lunch for Seniors interested in learning about the application process. Sign up on your Naviance account (under College Visits) to attend either presentation held in the library.

JACL Greater Los Anhers Chapter Hana Uno Shepard Memorial Scholarship-5/15/18

Eligibility Requirements:

-Graduating Highschool Senior

-A member of a single parent family

-of Japanese descent

Winner will be selected based on academics,community service, extracurricular involvement and clarity of application.

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship Application($1000)- 6/15/18

For High school seniors who will be enrolled in an eligible Career /Technical program for Fall 2018. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program, have financial need and demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity. Must be a US Citizen.

The Cirkled in Scholarship-4/30/18

This is a $2500 scholarship for 8-12th grade students ( all high school students are eligible).  It’s an easy scholarship to apply for (there is no GPA requirement, no income requirement, and no lengthy essay). It’s FREE to apply and students can use it for any educational need – so if a student is experiencing a hardship now making it difficult for them to consistently attend school, they can use it now, or they can save it for college. Los Hermanos de Stanford Scholarship -5/12/18

Multiple Scholarships awarded ranging from $500-$1000 to outstanding Latino students graduating from high school with plans to attend any 2 year or 4 year institution of higher learning. Students will be awarded based on community service, academic excellence and cultural awareness, all guiding principles of the organization.

Taiwanese-American Citizens League Community Scholarship

This scholarship is open to all seniors and juniors regardless of race, national origin, and financial needs. Must be well-rounded students who have demonstrated leadership skills, extracurricular activity involvement, community service, and academic success.

Armenian Relief Society Academic Merit ScholarshipDeadline 4/27/18

This scholarship is for students of Armenian descent who have a 3.5 GPA or better, are active members of the school and community and plan to attend a college/university.
